My ceramic practice explores the primal connection between human touch and the earth, balancing the slower, thoughtful meditation of hand-building with the structured rhythmic challenge of the wheel. While my hand-built work celebrates organic evolution and rustic textures, my wheel-thrown pieces serve as a canvas for exploration of carving techniques and dramatically layered glazes. In an age of mass-production, I create unique objects that invite interaction and honor the beauty of "simple imperfection," bringing a grounded sense of calm and earthiness into the modern setting.
